I actually parked outside Quiznos, and then, remembering my free sandwich cards, got back in my car and went to Subway. At check out I was surprised to discover Subway had discontinued their subway stamp program; replacing it with a reusable point card. To add insult to injury the new point cards are not even available yet.

So now Subway officially sucks. They copied Quiznos’ oven toasting and instead of leveraging the stamp club into a full fledged rewards program they stick with the status-quo and ad zero value into the program. Bad marketing and mediocre sandwiches, better make mine oven toasted- mmm….toasty!

Any one else remember Intellivision? Gadgets rock.

This is Venice Beach just before all of the rain started pounding S. California. Around 8" of rain fell in the following week. To a Montana kid the weather is not bad at all- I am still rockin’ sandals all over the place. Meanwhile the LA natives are cursing God for abandoning their sunny paradise. I just laugh and splash through another puddle.

Well after much debate I finally got the blog up and running. I decided to use 1and1 for hosting (thanks dave) and Wordpress to run it. Wordpress seems pretty sweet so far. It was super easy to set up despite the fact that I had no experience with server side anything. So far I highly reccomend.

Next up on the agenda: customize the layout and get a real starting page.
